This is a great piece, Jack - - As a fellow Substacker, I thank you for writing in such an informative and entertaining manner. My experiences on set have been mostly awful...being treated horribly, by someone who was being treated horribly by someone above them...everyone stressed and miserable. The good ones, where the director has set a tone of kindness and generosity, are amazing and memorable. I do believe art isn't defined by the process, though, but by the result. The process of creating is usually very messy and awkward.

maybe if people focused on the creative/art aspect, we would have less remakes and more original content <3
