I think the issue is that things like Squid Game and Tiger King are more trends then they are common ground. I see your point that you’re somewhat being anti social by ignoring them, but the reason you can ignore them is because they’re a flash in the pan. They’ll soon be replaced by something equally viral. Either way that’s not common ground.
